Dougal’s Dubs – Chauffeur-Driven Vintage V-Dub Hire Effective Date: [5/4/2025]
1. Booking & Payment
All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total hire fee is received.
The full balance must be paid 30 days before the hire date. Failure to pay in full may result in cancellation without refund.
Payments can be made via bank transfer or PayPal (details provided upon booking).
2. Cancellations & Refunds
Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Cancellations made:
· - More than 30 days before the hire date: 50% refund of the balance (excluding deposit).
· - Less than 30 days: No refund.
The Company reserves the right to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. vehicle breakdown). In such cases, a full refund will be offered or an alternative vehicle/date arranged.
3. Vehicle Use & Conditions
Vehicles are strictly chauffeur-driven only; self-drive is not permitted.
Hire duration includes travel to and from the pickup and drop-off locations. Overtime fees may apply if delays occur.
The Client is responsible for ensuring all passengers behave in a respectful and safe manner.
No food, drink, or smoking/vaping is allowed inside the vehicle unless agreed in writing.
4. Delays & Liability
The Company will make every reasonable effort to arrive on time. However, we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond our control.
In the event of vehicle failure, the Company will do its utmost to provide a suitable replacement or issue a partial/full refund depending on the situation.
The Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
5. Client Responsibility
The Client shall be liable for any damage to the vehicle caused by themselves or their guests.
The Client must ensure all information provided (pickup times, addresses, etc.) is accurate.
The client is responsible for making sure that the guests are all present to depart at the pre- arranged times written in your booking details. Failure to do so could result in extra charges being added due to extra hire time being accrued.
Any changes to the booking must be confirmed in writing and may be subject to additional fees.
6. Photography & Promotion
The Company may take photographs of the vehicle at your event for use in marketing unless you request otherwise in writing.
If the Client or guests share photos publicly, the Company reserves the right to re-share or use them in promotional materials with appropriate credit.
7. Insurance & Licensing
The Company and all drivers are fully insured and licensed to operate chauffeur-driven services.
Passengers are covered under the Company’s public liability insurance during the hire period.
8. Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for failure to perform its obligations where such failure is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, accidents, breakdowns, strikes, or government restrictions.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
By making a booking, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
